Location

Founded in 1413, St Andrews is the oldest university in Scotland, and the third oldest in the UK. The town itself has a population approaching 17,000, while the population of St Andrews University (staff and students) is nearly 9,000.

St Andrews is located in Fife, on the north east coast of Scotland, between Edinburgh and Dundee, and is perhaps most famous as the ‘Home of Golf’.
